Ida’s glowing
golden hour
GRAHAM OAKS NATURE PARK | WILSONVILLE, OREGON
THE PARTICULARS
Golden light, wild branches, and a senior with a creative heart.
Ida’s senior session took us to Graham Oaks Nature Park in Wilsonville, Oregon, just as the sun began to sink low and turn everything gold. We wandered through tall grasses and tangled oak branches, letting the light spill through the trees and catch every strand of her hair. Ida’s style was all her own, with soft bangs, a bold wing of eyeliner, and layered necklaces, and it felt right at home in the wild, untamed beauty of the park.
What I loved most about Ida was her honesty about the road ahead. She didn’t have every step figured out, and she didn’t pretend to. What she did know was that she wanted to try art school and build a life around something creative. There’s a quiet confidence in that kind of openness, and you can see it in these images: a young woman who is curious, thoughtful, and ready to see where her gifts take her.
Sessions like this remind me why I love photographing seniors. It’s a season full of big questions and new beginnings, and getting to capture someone right on the edge of that adventure is such a gift. Ida, thank you for trusting me with this chapter. I can’t wait to see everything you create.
There's something special about standing on the edge of everything that's still to come. The excitement, the uncertainty, the dreams, and all the little things that make you who you are right now.
Whether you're happiest among the flowers, exploring somewhere new, or laughing until your cheeks hurt, I'd love to capture this season exactly as it feels. Because someday, these photographs will remind you of the person you were just before you grew up.
I can’t wait to meet you.
Before the next chapter begins, let's remember this one.
SHALL WE TELL YOUR STORY?
